**TEACHING PERSONNEL PAY TO SCALE FOR ALL LONG TERM TEACHING ROLES**

Are you a teacher seeking your next full-time teaching role from February 2022? If so, please see details of an exciting opening within the English department of one of our partner schools located in Darlington. 

The school have an upcoming maternity cover within their English department and aim to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate teacher to start in February 2022. Applications from NQT’s are welcome and encouraged.

• Full-time English teacher.

• Start date: February half-term or sooner for the right candidate.

• Planning and marking responsibilities included.

• Temporary position (Maternity cover)

• Pay in line with MPS/UPS scale points.

The incoming teacher will secure employment for a maternity cover with an initial offer of employment for the remainder of the academic year, this will however be reviewed regularly as the Head of English seeks to bridge an open gap within their English faculty. (Permanent contract opportunities may become available during the academic year however this will be dependant on the performance and suitability of the appointed English teacher.) The role will include teaching English at KS3 and GCSE across year groups 7 to 11. The appointed member of staff will work closely with the Head of Department and other experienced English teachers in the department, ensuring that outstanding levels of teaching are displayed regularly. It is crucial that English teachers applying for this role are passionate about their subject, are results orientated and are motivated by the success of their students.

Teachers wishing to apply for this role will have;

• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE or SCITT, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• A relevant English related degree and recent experience of delivering English up to GCSE level

• An enhanced DBS that is registered to the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
