Graduate Teaching Assistant - Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants on a behalf of our client secondary in Wigan.

With a number of our client secondary schools in Wigan requiring additional teaching assistants, this is the ideal opportunity for any aspiring teachers to gain the essential experience to prepare you for a teacher training course in the future.

Successful applicants to these Graduate Teaching Assistant roles will be required on a long term temporary basis for the remainder of this academic year.

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant - Full and part time roles available
  • Providing additional support to secondary aged pupils (KS3 and GCSE) in a range of subjects including Maths, English and Science
  • Ideal opportunity to gain further experience prior to a teacher training course
  • Schools located in Hindley, Leigh, Orrell and Central Wigan
  • Immediate start dates

*** Applicants are required to be educated to degree level and will ideally have previously experience relating to supporting the learning and development of secondary aged pupils ***

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant within one of our client schools you will hold a number of responsibilities including;

  • Working in partnership with head of departments, delivering set schemes of work to pupils ranging in ability
  • Offer general support to the classroom teacher
  • Help prepare KS3 and GCSE pupils prepare for examinations
  • Support a range of pupil varying in ability in order to help them achieve their full potential
