Graduate teaching assistant job responsibilities;

As a graduate teaching assistant you will have the opportunity to influence the learning and development of pupils aged 11-16. The successful applicants will hold the following responsibilities;

  • Support pupils who struggle to engage within lessons and require additional support within their studies
  • Provide KS3 and GCSE tuition sessions across a range of subjects including Maths, English, Science and Humanities
  • Lead small classes and deliver pre set revision resources
  • Track and monitor the progress made by pupils within sessions and feedback to senior management

With our client schools located across Bolton, the majority of our clients are commutable via the M61 for those with their own transport. Via public transport the majority of schools are easily accessible from the surrounding areas; Bolton town centre, Bury, Salford, Leigh and Chorley. This is an average sized Secondary School with around 900 children aged 11-16 on roll, the number who speak English as an additional language is slightly lower than the national average.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
