Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting graduates to work as teaching assistants within our client secondary school located in Bolton.
If you are looking to gain further experience working within secondary schools as a teaching assistant prior to considering a teacher training course, this is the ideal opportunity for you.
- Full time and part time graduate teaching assistant positions available
- Supporting the learning of pupils aged 11-16 in a variety of subjects including Maths, English and Science
- Delivering tuition to pupils and supporting their learning and development
- Excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience as a support assistant prior to applying for a teacher training course
- Attractive pay of £255 - £300 per week
A number of support roles opportunities have emerged within this secondary schools support department. With the school looking to put additional provisions in place for a number of their pupils who aren't making expected progress, you will be required to support pupils across a number of subject areas. Within this role you will be supported from various heads of departments to deliver set resources to pupils on a 1:1 basis to enhance their learning and development.
The school are able to accommodate employment on a part time or full time basis, however applicants will ideally have experience working in education or have previous experience supporting the learning of pupils aged between 11 and 16.
This average sized secondary school is located on the outskirts of Westhoughton in Bolton. The school has roughly 900 pupils on roll, of which the large majority of pupils are white British. The Headteacher is looking for driven and motivated individuals who can assist with the development of those pupils that require additional support within their studies.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
