Final exams are over, and results are out!
Are you now a recent graduate, wondering what you can do next?
Are you actively looking for work? ... have you considered being a Teaching Assistant?
Teaching Personnel Bristol are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants for Secondary Schools in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area. We have full time and part time roles available.
Graduates from all subject disciplines are encouraged to apply.
No previous classroom experience is required, however, you will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual.
About the Role:
As a teaching assistant you will be offering support to pupils in a class alongside a fully-qualified teacher. This support may be on a one-to-one basis with a particular child or just general in class support.
All the schools we work with have a good standard of behaviour so you will not be placed in any environment too challenging and there will always be a teacher with you at all times. There may be pupils with Special Educational Needs, or particularly challenging behaviour, however, you will only work with these particular pupils if you feel confident enough to do so.
The expected pay rate for a Teaching Assistant is between £60-75 a day dependant on experience.
Previous experience within a class is not a requirement, however you will have to hold a valid DBS. Without an up to date DBS you will not be allowed to work - Teaching Personnel can offer guidance on how to apply for this if needed.
Why become a Teaching Assistant?
If you are just starting out on your career as a future teacher this is the perfect opportunity for you to gain valuable experience. Teaching Assistant jobs will be great to support any PGCE applications.
Teaching Assistant roles are very rewarding, particularly if you work one-to-one with a vulnerable or challenging pupil and you can see them improve and progress.
Working with Teaching Personnel on a supply basis allows you to keep your diary flexible and just work when you want to work! Many of our Teaching Assistants are recent graduates who work a day or two alongside a Master's course or PGCE.
Benefits of Working with Teaching Personnel:
Our relationships with local schools provide access to a wealth of teaching opportunities in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools.
You will have your very own specialist Recruitment Consultant dedicated to finding you work.
- Access to our CPD academy - numerous courses to help your learning development such as Team Teach.
- Competitive pay rate - we care about all our teachers and so ensure we offer you a fair and competitive rate.
- No Fees - We make it easy for our teachers to transition from us to a contract with a school because we do not charge the schools any fees to take you onto contract!
- Flexibility - One extremely useful benefit of securing your long term role through us is that it allows you to go into a school and decide whether it is the right one for you before fully committing to the entire academic year
- Refer a Friend Scheme - financial benefits for every friend that joins us
- Weekly Pay - you will be paid weekly directly into your bank account
