Job description

Teaching Personnel is currently working alongside a 'Good' Primary School in Kenley, Croydon, who are on the lookout for a Graduate Teaching Assistant on a contract basis starting as soon as possible.

About the school and contract:

  • 2 form Primary School.
  • Full time role during school term time only.

About the successful Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant:

  • Ideally a graduate looking to gain experience in a school whilst applying for the PGCE/Teacher Training.
  • Or someone wanting to progress from a Teaching Assistant to further develop their career.
  • Oversee classes covering a variety of subjects and managing the behaviour of the students in accordance with the school's policy.
  • Strong classroom management skills are a must as you will be solely leading the class.
  • Previous classroom experience is an advantage though inessential as full training provided.

To be eligible the Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant must:

  • Have experience of working with young people.
  • Be a UK resident or be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Hold a current and fully enhanced DBS or be willing to get one (Full Assistance Provided).
  • Be prepared for professional reference checks.
