Graduate Teaching Assistant - Future Teachers

Our client secondary school located in North Manchester are looking to recruit a number of graduate teaching assistants ahead of September 2018.

The incoming graduate teaching assistants will have the opportunity to gain experience as a teaching assistant within a secondary school for 12 months, earn money and secure a position on a teacher training programme the following year within a lead teacher training school in Salford.

Our partner secondary school in Manchester are currently recruiting for aspiring teachers ahead 2019. This designated future teacher's programme will allow you to be working one year as a graduate teaching assistant and progressing to a years teaching programme to train to become a fully qualified teacher in your chosen subject area.

  • Graduate teaching assistant one year post - Full time September 2018 start
  • Secure a position on a teacher training course at an outstanding secondary school year 2 (September 2019/20)
  • Earn up to £270 per week as a Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a nationally recognised teaching school in Greater Manchester who facilitate teacher training (PGCE/SCITT programme) for over 10 secondary schools in the North West. In line with Teaching Personnel's 'future teachers' programme, our client school are looking for a number of graduates to work as graduate teaching assistants with the view to joining the schools teacher training programme the following year. At present we have 8+ positions for graduates teaching assistants on a 12 month basis prior to commencing onto the schools teacher training programme in September 2019.

The school are looking for highly academic graduates teaching assistants to school within English, Maths and Science. The incoming Graduate teaching assistants will ideally have a degree in English, maths or Science and will have the opportunity to gain the skills and experience to become a teacher in the future. You will work in a variety of classes supporting learners and working alongside your mentor seeing the day to day experience and profession of a teacher.

Summary of Graduate teaching assistant role;

  • Learn the fundamental skills required to become a teacher
  • Assisting teachers in day to day classroom support and supporting the learning of pupils
  • Assist in the delivery of intervention and tuition sessions - Supporting both KS3 and GCSE learners
  • Support in the delivery of lessons and even lead lessons with guidance and support

It is essential that all interested applicants have a degree in Maths, English or Science, or are coming to the end of a degree, and will be available full time in the new academic year.
