Level 2 Teaching Assistant Required – Preston

The Headteacher and governing body of a Primary School located in Fulwood are on the look out for a dynamic Year 3 Teaching Assistant to work alongside the pupils in Lower Juniors. Since the start of the academic year, the Headteacher and SENCO have identified a number of children requiring additional support in KS2 specifically around Maths and English. This role is 30 hours per week working 8:45-15:15 each day with 30-minute unpaid break and would be £306 per week. This is a lovely school welcoming atmosphere; children are keen to learn and the school is located in the heart of the community with an excellent reputation. This role is to begin as soon as possible so please do not delay in application!

Level 2 (minimum) childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification is essential for this role. Experience of working alongside young children would be advantageous however not essential. The successful candidate will need stamina and energy to keep up in the classroom and of course, be on hand to support the class teacher with day to day running’s of the classroom.  Good knowledge of Maths and English is required for this role and availability to start within two weeks of being offered the position.

-          Competitive rates of pay starting at £10.20 per hour.

-          Regular CPD opportunities. Most recent courses include: Effective Behaviour Management, An Introduction to Catholic Education, TEAM TEACH, Preparation and Planning, and Effective Support in the Classroom.

-          Regular and weekly pay.

-          Dedicated 24 hour support from your local Teaching Personnel consultant who will be on hand to answer any queries you may have.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
