Our client school is looking to recruit a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant starting after October half term 2023 for the rest of the academic year. The school in question is situated in the Cheadle area of Stockport. The role could be made permanent should the school decide.

Ofsted described the staff and pupils at the school as ‘warm and friendly’ with students saying it is easy to settle in. The school also has plenty of extracurricular activities for the successful applicant to sink their teeth into, should they wish.

Key Information:

  • Salary of £385 - £485 a week, dependant on experience.
  • Long term position may be available depending on performance.
  • Great school to stat your career and build experience in.

Our client is looking for someone to aid all students in a multitude of ways from students who may have fallen a little behind to students with various SEND requirements. The job role will offer a different challenge each day.

Ofsted stated about the pupils in their report ‘They work hard in lessons. They are proud of the work that they produce. They know that their teachers will help them.’ Talking about the schools positive leaders they reported ‘Leaders have high expectations for their pupils’ behaviour and achievement.’

Benefits and responsibilities of the role:

  • Build 1:1 teaching experience.
  • Experience working with students with various SEN requirements; Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and other areas.
  • Working in partnership with teachers to help identify pupils who would benefit from extended support.
  • Helping to enforce school standards and policies, especially regarding behaviour.
  • Various courses available via Teaching Personnel or within our client school for the successful applicant.

  • Full DBS check.
  • 2 references from former employers. (Character references are accepted if you have not had 2 employers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
