Graduate Teaching Assistant required for Specialist School in Leeds

Teaching Personnel working closely with a Specialist SEN School in Leeds who are looking to recruit a  talented, dedicated and ambitious Graduate that can add value to the school and more importantly put the needs and learning experience of all pupils first as a Teaching Assistant. The school is a generic all age (3-19) special school catering for children with a wide range of needs; profound, multiple and complex conditions, autistic spectrum conditions and severe learning difficulties. The school has developed and enhanced teaching facilities and resources to support pupils with complex communication needs.  Over 60% of pupils have a diagnosis of Autism.

The school are specifically seeking graduates who are looking for a career in education within teaching or therapy roles. Applicants should possess, or expect to achieve a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent). Applicants should have graduated from higher education within the last three years or be due to graduate in 2020. Applicants graduating from or who have recently obtained Masters and PhD qualifications will also be considered. You will have a genuine passion for working with pupils with additional needs, and aspirations to progress into teaching in the future. Applications are welcomed from graduates of all subjects, but we especially would like to hear from those who have studied Psychology, Education Studies, Social Work, Special Needs and/or Counselling.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
