Location: Twickenham, Richmond

Salary: GBP65-75 (dependant on experience)

Required for: October 2020 to July 2021 initially

The School:

Our specialist school provides for children with speech, language and communication difficulties. We are situated in Richmond with two sites in Twickenham, West London for children and young people from the ages of 4 to 19. Our school recently opened in 2019 with a secondary department and are looking to complete the expansion of our primary department by September 2021.

The Job:

Our special school in Twickenham are looking to appoint graduate learning support assistants with special needs experience. This role involves both delivering academic activities, catch up sessions and therapy support for children diagnosed with speech and language communication needs (SLCN).  

We are looking to appoint a recent graduate or a confident candidate with 1:1 special needs support experience. As pupils will need additional support catching up with core subjects (Maths, English and Science) applicants with university degree will be highly beneficial.

The role is full-time and would be ideal for those seeking longer term and permanent career opportunities working with special needs.

The Graduate Learning Support Assistant will be:

• Qualified with either a university degree or have 1:1 special needs support experience  
• Confident or experienced working with autism, severe learning and speech difficulties
• Available full-time Mondays to Fridays during school term time
• Open to supporting children with therapy, personal care and/or feeding
