Graduates required for a Primary learning mentor position in Leeds

  • Do you have an educational degree in; Psychology, Social Work, Primary Education or other Educational Studies?

  • Are you interested in supporting learners with Special Educational Needs?

Teaching Personnel are seeking recent graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in Mainstream Primary School Education as a 'Future Teacher'. Successful candidates will be required to provide specialist support for pupils in an Outstanding School in Leeds in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. This is a highly rewarding role, giving aspiring teachers vital experience and the chance to gain an understanding of children aged 5-8 years before completing Initial Teacher Training.

Based in the Leeds area, this school is just a 15 minute drive from the Leeds City Centre, and is easily accessible by public transport.

As a Learning Mentor, you will have the chance to work with young people and aim to make a real difference to a child’s life in a Primary school setting. Experience of working with Primary School aged children previously is desirable for this role, and any extra training such as; Phonics or Safeguarding is highly considered.

We are looking for hard working and committed individuals who would be confident and happy working with pupils of all ability levels, including; Special Educational Needs and behavioural issues.
