Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
I am working on the behalf of my client schools based in Scarborough, who will require Graduate Teaching Assistants to work on a day to day, short term and long term basis from February 2019.
Due to the high demand of requirements I am looking for staff to be able to work at least 3 days per week on a flexible basis across Schools in Scarborough. This is suitable for anyone with a passion or interest in working with the education sector, especially those wanting to gain experience in order to apply for a PGCE. Ideally you will have some experience of working with children.
The role:
Your role will be day to day, short term or long term cover assignments in schools across Scarborough. Advanced cover options are available as well as assignments that are called in on the morning. You will cover a range of lessons and in day to day situations the work will be set and given to you upon arrival at the school. The assignments can range from anything from part days (AM or PM), full days, full weeks and anything up to 3 weeks to a full academic year. General working hours will be from 08.30 to 15.30, although this can vary in each school.
For more information, please contact Kerry Fowler on 01482 908020 to register your interest, or to gain more information, on 01482 908020.
Teaching Personnel - Teacher/Instructor/Teaching Assistant/Support Staff
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for candidates seeking employment within education, in Scarborough. We work from Whitby all the way to East Riding. If you want a career in education then please see below roles that we can offer.
Teacher/Instructor Long Term:
Deliver lessons in your subject to key stages 3 & 4 and you will be expected to work as a fully fledged member of staff at the school. For the right candidate Long Term bookings can potentially go to a permanent, direct contract. - Must have relevant experience and qualifications.
Teacher/Instructor/Cover Supervisor Short Term:
This is for candidates that are able to work on "day to day" supply where you will experience working in numerous schools on a flexible basis. You are responsible for managing the lessons when the teacher is absent for the day. This involves making sure that the class is following the work that the teacher has set for them in the lesson plan and also making sure behaviour is excellent by following the school's behaviour policy. Lesson plans are generally already set so it is the job of the cover supervisor to engage the entire class in a way that means the work set, is completed with minimal disruption.

Teaching Assistant and Support Staff roles within education always range from basic student support, to the most complex of SEN students with a variety of needs.
