Mathematics Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Maths graduate Teaching Assistant at one of our partner schools in the Cheadle area of Stockport. The role is set to start in September 2023 and will last for the full academic year. The school is question is an 11 – 16 mixed secondary school.

Our client school is looking for somebody to support their teaching staff across the curriculum with various age groups. The candidate must be passionate about working and helping further the knowledge of young people.

Our client’s Ofsted report is very positive towards the pupil’s conduct in and out of the classroom as well as their attitude towards learning. The report also highlighted the strong Leadership staff and faculty and their strong subject knowledge.

Some key skills our client is looking for:

• Ability to adapt teaching to accommodate students with different learning styles
• Confident working with pupils with SEN requirements, for example students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia to name a few
• Individual and small group teaching ability to meet the needs of certain students
• To always enforce school policies, especially those regarding behaviour and academic achievement

There are various CPD courses for the successful applicant to build their teaching knowledge and classroom expertise. These courses are available via Teaching Personnel or internally within the school.
