Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of Sheffield secondary schools who are searching for graduate cover supervisors. Being a graduate cover supervisor is an excellent way of gaining classroom-based experience to further your education career, with the view of becoming a teacher.

The role of a graduate cover supervisor includes covering lessons on behalf of absent teachers, with the majority of work being classroom based this makes behaviour management in the class necessary. Building a positive rapport with students is vital and will provide a great transition into the school setting. With no planning or marking responsibilities as a graduate cover supervisor it is a brilliant way to ease into school life without the admin.

To be considered for the application you must:

-          Be confident in covering lessons with pre set work for students in all subject areas,

-          Enjoy working in an education environment and want students to excel in all areas,

-          To be adaptable and assist/support the school in other roles if necessary.

-          Having a willingness a learn on the job and take onboard feedback

-          Hold a degree or have relevant experience of working with children.

Working for Teaching Personnel will provide you with the opportunity to work full time, part time or day to day, depending on your needs. Graduate cover supervisors receive between GBP65-GBP75 per day and gain essential teaching experience for the future.
