Our client secondary school is located in the Greenfield area of Oldham, a short drive from Oldham town centre and also accessible from Tameside via Mossley. This Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school is currently oversubscribed and is a popular choice for students from the surrounding villages of Delph, Diggle and Uppermill.

As a Cover Supervisor at our client secondary school, the successful candidate will be joining a team of dedicated and caring of support staff and will cover a lessons throughout a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.

• Providing classroom management of students in the absence of the main class teacher
• To liaise with relevant Heads of Department on work to be set for classes and on any behavioural matters
• To help prepare, monitor and maintain a safe and secure learning environment in line with the teachers' lesson plans
• Manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they are completing work to ensure a constructive environment
• Deal with any immediate problems according to the school's policies and procedures
• Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate member of staff
• Report, as appropriate using the school's agreed referral procedures, on the behaviour of pupils during the class and on any problems arising
• Registering attendance of students in accordance with school policy
