Are you a recent graduate looking to pursue a career in the education sector?

Are you looking for a paid role after completing your degree as well as gaining valuable experience to support a future PGCE application?

Teaching Personnel are looking to register and recruit graduates to work within our partnered secondary schools as a Cover Supervisor. We work a number of the secondary schools in the Warrington and Wigan areas on a daily basis who come to us for a variety of their supply requirements.

Highlights of the cover supervisor role for graduates:

  • Earning potential up GBP1350 per month (depending on the area, school and previous experience. This equates to GBP60 - GBP70 per day
  • Opportunities for fully flexible working; part time, temporary and full time roles available
  • Gain valuable experience working in a secondary school setting supporting a future PGCE or trainee teacher application
  • Networking opportunities working alongside qualified teachers
  • Work in a variety of secondary schools suited towards the individual graduate including academic and more challenging schools in regards to behaviour
  • Regular training and CPD opportunities with Teaching Personnel’s links to National Teaching Schools
  • Look ahead to September where schools will have hopefully returned to some level of normality

As a Cover Supervisor you will covering the class where a teacher is absent. You won’t be required to teach the class but deliver the work that has been set by the teacher and ensure students remain on task. If you are a graduate seeking teaching experience, then this role would particularly suit you as it offers you direct experience within education before committing to a teacher training course.

We offer training to all of our staff and you will have the opportunity to take part in our ‘Become a Cover Supervisor’ training course upon registering!

Teaching Personnel work with secondary schools in Warrington, Wigan and Trafford. They are easily accessible using the local motorway networks of M62 and M6. Regularly public transport also service the schools regularly for those travelling by bus or train.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
