Graduate Co-teacher
A unique opportunity has arisen to join a passionate team of staff in an Ofsted ‘Good’ primary school in Blackburn.
We are now looking for a Graduate Co-teacher who is committed to providing learning support to pupils and small groups in Key Stage 2. We need an exceptional graduate who will be inspirational role model to the pupils and work with both teachers and the wider school community to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make rapid academic progress.
This role is perfect preparation for training to be a teacher via a local a Teacher Training programme. The school’s recent Graduate Co-teachers have successfully gained a place on the programme and are now working towards Qualified Teaching Status. The school invest in their teachers as they aspire to continually develop their practice and become outstanding practitioners and leaders.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with young people in a paid or voluntary capacity
Have a strong academic background in English and Mathematics
Have the desire and enthusiasm to help deliver outstanding teaching
Be committed to an ethos of high expectations
Have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of pupils

Start date: September 2021
Hours: 36 hours per week, term time only
Contract: Fixed Term Contract for one year (possibility of extension for the right candidate).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
