Graduate Behaviour Support Assistants

Primary and Secondary Pupil Referral Units in Southwark, Lewisham & Croydon are looking for Behaviour Support Assistants to work with pupils. A successful candidate will have the right attitude alongside some experience in order to meet the demands of the role supporting SEN pupils with Challenging behaviour. Most of the pupils are on the Autism spectrum, with additional needs, such a ADHD, SEMH, SLD and MLD. The pupils have behaviour that is of a challenging nature, therefore you must have a resilient and firm-but-fair attitude.

Behavioural Teaching Assistants with previous experience in supporting KS2, KS3 and KS4 with challenging behaviour and Social Emotional Mental Health difficulties are also needed for Behaviour Specialist school in Sutton.

There are roles to start immediately and continue through the academic year, both full time and part time. so you must be available full time.

The schools are looking for someone that is able to support and encourage pupils to develop both academically and socially. Unparalleled behaviour management skills are a must.

If you have a background in Youth Work, Psychology, Sports (coaching), Art and Design and Music then this role is ideal for you.

You must have a DBS on the updated system, alongside relevant training, such as Team-teach Positive Intervention, Safe-guarding, and First Aid.
