Gepgraphy Teacher required in Blackpool secondary school

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Geography for a secondary school in Blackpool, Lancashire. This is a full-time position starting from Monday 19th February 2018 on a full-time basis teaching Geography across Key Stages 3/4 up to GCSE level.

The role is being advertised to cover a maternity leave within the Humanities department and the successful Geography Teacher will be required until December 2018, at least.

This is a larger than average secondary school with around 1,000 students on roll. Behaviour of the students can be challenging therefore the school are seeking a Geography Teacher with good behaviour management skills.

The school is easily accessible via public transport links and it has excellent on site parking facilities. To be eligible to apply for this role you MUST have:

- Valid UK PGCE with QTS

- Humanities Degree (ideally with a specialism in Geography)

- Recent experience of teaching KS3/4 Geography

- The ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons

- Good behaviour management skills

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
