In this Client school of mine Geography is taught as a compulsory subject to all pupils in the First, Second and Third Forms. The Junior years are taught Geographical concepts through place studies. For instance, in the 'Antarctica and the Arctic' unit they learn about latitude, climate, biomes, tourism, geopolitics and global warming. There is also a healthy level of extra-curricular Geography activities, with an active Geography Society hosting visiting speakers and a Sixth Form Forum allowing the pupils to experience the subject beyond the confines of the curriculum.

Responsibilities for the Geography Teacher role include:

  • Planning, implementing and reviewing the Geography curriculum;
  • Leading the Geography Department and overseeing the delivery of GCSE and A-Levels;
  • Attending and contributing to Heads of Department meetings;
  • Delivering inspirational teaching of Geography with the use of innovative resources;

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
