The school is set in extensive grounds and easily accessible via tube, bus and car. It has been graded outstanding in last two inspections; the grad scheme was singled out for praise by Ofsted when the school was last visited. The school is mixed boys and girls and boasts a thriving 6th form which is well resourced. The behaviour policy is well established and the school have very few disciplinary issues.
The graduate scheme was established in 2012 and has so far helped over twenty teachers including 3 humanities teachers become fully qualified.
