Geography Teacher- Required September 2019

Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary school in Bristol that is seeking an enthusiastic and motivating Geography Teacher to join the school from September 2019. If the successful candidate is available sooner, there may be opportunity to join the school this summer term. This is a full time position beginning 2nd September 2019.

The successful individual should be confident in planning and delivering lessons for KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum. You will also be expected to carry out assessment and other responsibilites that come with joining a school on a full time basis i.e Parents evenings.

You will be teaching a timetable predominantly Geography, with the possibility of covering a few lessons of History. Extensive History teaching experience is not essential but is desirable. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about their subject and has a genuine desire to raise pupil attainment.

The successful Geography teacher will have:

  • A PGCE in secondary Humanities preferably Geography specialism
  • Experience teaching Geography up to GCSE/KS4
  • Excellent classroom presence and the ability to work in a close knit department
