Geography teaching position in Richmond – Permanent role – September 2021

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Geography Teacher to join a energetic department at a Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Academy based in the Richmond area for a position teaching KS3 & KS4 students. The role is a full time permanent position starting from September 2021.

Due to expansion, this mainstream Academy based in Richmond are seeking the addition of a Geography teacher for a start from September 2021, either an NQT or an experienced teacher. The SLT and Head Teacher wish to appoint a pragmatic Geography Teacher who can commit to a full time permanent role at the school.

This Ofsted rated ‘Good’ well respected Secondary school based in Richmond has an emphasis on Geography as a core subject at school, as it is one of the highest achieving subject areas. The Humanities Curriculum is inclusive and broad with all pupils receiving a high standard of Geography, History etc teaching.

The department consists of a Head of Department, 1 experienced teacher and a teacher who has been at the school 3 years, working under the dedicated guidance of a strong Head of Department. As the incoming Geography Teacher to this Secondary school based Richmond, you can expect to join a supportive staff team where pupils are encouraged to use interactive methods in classes.

The responsibilities for the incoming Geography Teacher will include;

• Plan, prepare and deliver dynamic Geography Lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Evaluate and assess the teaching and learning of all pupils, providing relevant support to ensure the progression is in line with target progress 8 scores.

• Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP32,157 to GBP50,935
