Geography Teacher
Teaching Personnel the market leaders in Education recruitment are working alongside an Outstanding secondary grammar school in Trafford, looking to appoint a Geography Teacher to start in January.
Due to a maternity leave, the Outstanding Grammar school require a Geography Teacher to start in January on a temporary basis. The successful Geography Teacher will be teaching students from KS3-4, the AQA Curriculum, with a range of different academic abilities from bottom to top set. You will be teaching the physical processes e.g. Rivers and Volcanoes and Human aspects to the environment e.g. climate change, population and development.

- Full time role on a temporary basis
- Teaching students in KS3-4
The Outstanding secondary grammar school seeking a Geography Teacher is situated in an affluent area located in Trafford. They have a large student population with over 1000+ students, with state of the art modern facilities, giving their students the best opportunity. With an above average progress 8 score, the head of the humanities department is seeking an experienced Geography Teacher to maintain their high standards.
The successful teacher must have:
- A track record of teaching Geography within the curriculum
- An excellent knowledge and understanding of the value of using progress data on pupil performance to inform teaching and learning will be integral to driving student performance and attainment, along with delivering effective outcomes for all
- As a qualified Geography Teacher, you must be passionate about your subject and make good use of this passion to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
- Be a qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent
- Ability to teach Geography up to Key Stage 4
- Have excellent inter-personal and organisational skills
- Be an effective classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management and committed to ensuring all students succeed and fulfil their potential
- Ability to demonstrate a range of innovative teaching and Learning strategies
- Hold an Enhanced DBS (A full DBS check for the successful candidate)
