Are you a Geography teacher looking ahead to January for a new teaching position?

An Ofsted rated Good, Trafford based secondary school is looking to recruit a Geography teacher to join their Humanities team in January to fulfil an upcoming maternity cover. This will be for the remainder of the academic year from January until July with the potential to continue in September, given that the current Geography teacher is planned to leave during January/February.

The successful Geography teacher can be of any experience level from newly qualified to more experience along the teacher pay scale. The school are looking for a Geography specialist who is able to teach up to GCSE level Geography. Any experience of teaching other Humanities subjects is not essential as part of this role as the teacher will only be teaching Geography.

Highlights of this Geography teaching position:

  • Full time Geography teacher required to fulfil a maternity cover from January until October half term (most likely)
  • Pay will be dependent upon experience and where the appointed teacher is on the payscale; range between MPS1 - UPS3 (£2400 - £3000 per month)
  • Ofsted rated Good secondary school with a fantastic reputation in the Trafford area
  • Opportunity to secure a school based contract at this highly regarded school; starting on a supply basis in the first instance

They are therefore looking for a Geography teacher that can echo these values and be consistent with high expectations teaching engaging and enjoyable Geography lessons. This school is located in the Trafford education authority, close to Altrincham and Wythenshawe making it very easy to access from all surrounding areas. The local metrolink is a short walk away from this school which is set in very pleasant surroundings. Being in a residential area brings with it plenty of parking as well as a secure on site car park. The school is a relatively large school with a sixth form provision which is consistently over subscribed year on year as a school/sixth form of choice for many students, staff and parents alike.
