Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a school within the Tameside area who are in need of a KS3 and KS4 Science Teacher ASAP.

The ideal candidate for the school will be someone who has:

  • Relevant QTS Teaching status within the Sciences.
  • Experience working within secondary schools.
  • Holds an up-to-date full child work force DBS.
  • Has strong level of behaviour management.

With the start date only 2 weeks away, the school will need a strong candidate to easily transition into the role and allow for the students to continue their development with no gaps to their learning.

The successful applicant will receive the following:

  • £550 - £700 per week depending on pay scale.
  • FREE CPD Training and development opportunities.
  • Access to online Teaching Personnel portal.

Within the role you’ll be responsible for delivering a high standard of lessons throughout a range of year groups (years 7 – 11). The position will also include planning and marking to ensure the pupils are developing to a suitable standard in order to reach their target levels, for the summer term.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track pupil progress throughout lessons.
  • Maintain a strong level of behaviour management.
  • Work with underachieving pupils to develop grades.
  • Work with the current set of staff at the school to keep up to date with safeguarding procedures.

As stated earlier, the school are in immediate need of a teacher to start as soon as possible. Therefore, the position may not be available for much longer.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
