Full time Geography required for a Bolton based Academy fixed term for 12 months starting in January 2019.

With a member of staff due to take maternity leave in the New Year our partner school is seeking to appoint an outstanding Geography teacher to join their dynamic community.   • Full time Geography teacher position from January 2019 for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualification within Geography.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

Located on the outskirts of Bolton, this diverse Academy has just under 500 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. With a strong emphasis on the inclusive practice of outstanding teaching and learning, the progression of all their pupils is at the heart of their vision.

The incoming Geography teacher will be required to;

  • Promote an excellent teaching practice in Geography, evaluating the quality of teaching and standards of pupil's achievement, and setting targets for improvement.
  • Establish and maintaining policies and practices to promote positive behaviour and achievement in Geography within the framework of the school Behaviour Policies.
  • Deliver paramount Geography lessons, using creative and student centred teaching methods.
  • Demonstrate a progressive teaching style focused on raising student attainment.

This growing Academy can be accessed via major motorway links including the M60 and there are various public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
