Geography Teacher

Geography Teacher needed on full time basis in Stockport secondary school. The role is full time and temporary until the end of the academic year with the option to be extended.

Candidate requirements for this role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status in the UK (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Geography up to KS4 in UK secondary schools
  • Ability to carry out departmental responsibilities as part of a role
  • Child Workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service/ eligibility to apply for one
  • School based references with no safeguarding or disciplinary concerns

The successful candidate will join a large and dedicated humanities department in this modern Stockport based secondary school. The role will involve teaching Geography to classes in KS3 and KS4 up to and including GCSE level. The successful candidate will also be given full departmental responsibilities.  

The new Geography Teacher will join a modern and well rated secondary school in the heart of Stockport dedicated to setting students up for a successful step to the next stage of education and their career beyond. The schools location in Stockport make this opportunity ideal for candidates local to Stockport Town, Heaton Chapel, Cheadle Hulme, Bredbury, Romiley and the surrounding areas.

  • Full time maternity cover teaching KS3 and 4 Geography

  • Full departmental responsibilities – lesson planning, marking, engaging in staff meetings
  • Wages based on Teachers Pay Scale (MPS – UPS)
