Teacher of Geography – Hemel Hempstead

Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (London Fringe)
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Teacher of Geography to join our successful secondary school in Hemel Hempstead from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 for suitable candidates.

About the Role

As a Teacher of Geography, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.

  • Teach Geography across a range of abilities and key stages, ensuring all students achieve their potential.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the Humanities faculty.

  • Use innovative teaching methods and high-quality assessment to inspire excellent progress.

  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school, supporting extra-curricular activities and field trips.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified teacher (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome) with a strong subject knowledge in Geography.

  • Passionate about promoting global awareness and environmental understanding.

  • Committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.

  • A reflective practitioner who is keen to collaborate and contribute to a dynamic team.

  • Able to motivate, challenge, and support students of all abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
