Geography teacher needed for the September 2020 at a Secondary school based in the Merton area – Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’.
Permanent position - GBP28,355 to GBP44,541 per annum.
Teaching Personnel’s client Secondary school based in the area of Merton are searching for a Geography teacher for September 2020 on a full time, permanent basis.
You will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils Geography at a school which is regarded as ‘One of the Best in the Country’ - whose aim is to help the children learn, and also to progress to exceed their targets. Full responsibility is included in the position so marking, preparation, report writing and meetings will be expected of the successful applicant. The successful Geography teacher should be up to date with the current curriculum and be able to commence a position from September 2020.
The school itself is situated in the area of Merton and is a Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ school to work at, based near the Wimbledon station – it has fantastic transport links, making it a rough commute of 25 minutes from central London (London Bridge).
UK QTS is needed to work with our schools and recent/ relevant experience is also required.
To qualify for this position you must:
- Be passionate about education, teaching Geography and have a creative approach to your work
- Excellent time management
- Demonstrate strong classroom management
- Have experience of working with mixed abilities
- Provide 2 references

The general working hours would be 8:30 until 15:15 but this can vary at times. Work can be given during term time but outside of term time there is no work provided. Pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed at interview.
