General Y1 TA with Phonics Experience

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Year 1 Teaching Assistant in a 'Good' rated 2 form Primary School close to Notting Hill Tube station. The school have a lovely purpose built site in a very nice area just off Portobello Road.

The Position

The role is for a Teaching Assistant working predominantly in a lovely Year 1 class and developing the pupils level of Phonics. The school use the Jolly Phonics curriculum so if you have used this in the past then that would be very handy. On other occasions you may also support in other KS1 classes.

Hours will be 8:30-4pm on Monday to Friday and it will be a long term contract until the end of the academic year if successful. Pay will be between £60-£70 per day depending on experience.

To Be Successful

Candidates with the following are more likely to be shortlisted:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Childhood Related Qualification
  • At least 6 months experience working with Primary aged children.
  • Experience using Phonics - ideally Jolly Phonics.
  • Bubbly personality and someone who is happy to go the extra mile.
  • Able to commit long term until the end of the academic year.
