The school is a small one-form entry working environment where the children are promoted to learn and have fun doing it!

The school is currently graded GOOD by Ofsted and continue to receive good results throughout the year groups. The reason for the good overall performance is mainly down to the leadership of the Head teacher who obviously cares about her children and the school's staff. Within the South Ribble Preston area you will not find a more supportive and hard working team who offer all new staff with a full induction and tour round the school.

The role you will undertake will be made up of working 30 hours a week in a supporting role; working with small groups and individual children to ensure they are well supported in the classroom. As this is a Level 2 TA role, you will not be expected to plan any of the Curriculum but you will be expected to differentiate to ensure all learners can reach their own objectives. You will be expected to create resources for the children in order to further develop lesson content.

Currently the school in question have two teaching assistants working in school through Teaching Personnel. All three members of staff have worked in school since September and have all said they would be more than happy to continue in the new academic year.

So, what are the school looking for? They are preferably looking for a candidate who is Level 2 or above qualified who has prior experience of working in a KS2 class. The school are willing to give people a chance and will always trial them out in school to ascertain their suitability. The Head teacher is always looking for someone a little bit different, possibly degree trained, experienced travel or Camp America etc. Please do consider contacting me if you are interested in working in the school above. I am more than happy to talk you through the working environment and the recruitment process with Teaching Personnel.
