A school in Manchesteris looking for a General Supply teacher to join the staff on a temporary basis. Given the time of year, schools are inundated with issues related mainly to staff sickness. It is important therefore, that the required applicant is a versatile individual who is able to confidently manage large groups of children. It is crucial that the applicant has:
- A resilient attitude, and is proficient in being able to maintain the expectations of the school with regards to behaviour policy.
- Competency in delivering high quality lessons, and is able to complete tasks required as the work is pre set.
The position is one of a flexible nature, owing to the fact that there is no planning or marking required. The applicant will be able to cover lessons across a wide range of subjects, working with children across a broad range of ages, ethnicities and abilities. Being able to display versatility across the role is essential.
Other key aspects of the role:
- Working in line with school policy as set by senior leadership, as well as to recommendations made by Ofsted.
- Receiving regular training and personal development.
- Being able to successfully manage the needs of children with SEN, as well as those whose primary language is English.
- Working with support staff to identify students who may require additional support and guidance.
- Be able to successfully manage any issues that may arise within the classroom, and be able to apply interventions to tackle these issues effectively.
- Complete pre set tasks as set by other teaching staff.
- Pay - GBP60-100 per day based on prevoius experience.
