Science graduate – Rochdale
Our client school in Rochdale are looking to provide additional support for their Science department, and appoint a Science graduate with aspirations of becoming a trained Science teacher in the future.
- Graduate teaching assistant, full time until July 2017
- Open to all Science graduates looking to pursue a career in education
- Modern facilities in small community secondary in Rochdale
- Enhance your application for a PGCE or Teach First training programme
- Gain paid working experience in a secondary setting from March
- Pay for post, £50 - £60 per day
Our client school is a well facilitated, modern secondary in the heart of Rochdale with a strong community feel, which can be accredited to the supportive environment cultivated by senior leaders and teaching staff. The school boasts excellent transport links with a nearby tram stop and several bus routes. The school are looking to overstaff, and would like a Science graduate to support teaching staff in the delivery of lessons across 11 – 16, ensuring focussed learning is taking place to all levels of ability. As a Science teaching assistant, you will provide booster sessions for students in key topics as well as taking students out of lessons for 1:1 mentoring and revision.
You will be working in a school which serves a very diverse catchment area, with a strong welcoming multicultural feeling in which students are encouraged to grow spiritually as well as academically. Anyone with previous experience as a teaching assistant or Science tutor will be considered for this position.
