Our client secondary school in Rochdale, is currently seeking a Teacher of Science to join there department on a full time basis in September.

Located in the suburb of Rochdale, close to Milnrow, the school is easily accessible via the M62 and from the surrounding area; Central Manchester, Oldham and Bury. Our client school is a larger than average a co-educational 11-16 year secondary with over 1195 students currently on roll. The school relocated to a new building boasting state of the art facilities and modern large classrooms to provide an environment for students can thrive in. The high expectations of the school in regards to behaviour and learning ensure that students achieve the highest possible attainment which is reflected by their outstanding results with 70% of students achieving 2 A*-C grades in Science in 2016 and is currently in the top 8% in the country. Most recently the school was awarded a centre of excellence for inclusion and was awarded school of the year by Skills for Business.

The incoming science teacher will have:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status, specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics

• An ability to plan and deliver outstanding lessons to with hold the high standard

• An ability to use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to keep student engaged

• Have previous experience teaching Science across KS3 and GCSE
