Secondary school in Tameside are looking for a teacher of Science after a recent departure. This is a Good graded Ofsted school across the board so an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Scientist. The school are preferably looking for a Science teacher who specialises in Physics or Chemistry to KS4.
You will be working in a Science department that achieves in line with national and borough averages with 56% of students achieve at least 5 A*-C grades.

The schools 2015 Ofsted report stated that students are consistently polite, respectful and calm as they move around their school. You will be expected to make an immediate impact within the department and ensure students continue to make their expected levels of progress in Science so Progress 8 targets are reached.
As a Science teacher you will be working within a Science department consisting of 6 full time Science teachers and an experienced Head of Department. This post will initially be on a temporary supply basis to the end of the academic year, however the school are advertising for a permanent position in September. Situated in the SK14 post code of Tameside the school is just off the M67 and has local, regular public transport options.
