Experienced Science Teacher required for full time role in Wandsworth South West London

  • £120 - £170 daily rate

An exciting opportunity to work in a mixed secondary school from January has arisen in Wandsworth, South West London. The school has seen one of its General Science teachers take up a role as the Head of Department thus a position has been created and a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected and successful Science department.

The role will involve you working with a range of ability classes from Year 7 up to Year 11. A proven ability to plan and deliver excellent lessons is desirable and a flexible style of teaching is a must. The school has a great atmosphere and there is a strict behaviour policy installed by the Head whereby all members of staff are fully supported by senior leadership, as a result the school has excellent behaviour and this was highlighted in the recent Ofsted inspection.

The ideal candidate will have previous employment within a UK secondary school teaching Science or a Science specialism. It is expected that you have a desire to improve the expected grades of students, creating and monitoring lesson plans as well as setting challenging targets for the classes is also expected. Your teaching style will be flexible in order to get the most out of the students and make the lessons as engaging and thought provoking as possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
