A school in the Haslingden area are looking for a Science Teacher with a Physics specialism to join their forward thinking Science department. The school is an Ofsted ‘Good’ school in all areas and results are in line with the national average. The school is looking for someone to maintain their high standards and help with the department’s vision for further improvements.

The position available is to cover a member of the department on long term sick leave. The key responsibilities of the role are teaching engaging Physics lessons to a range of KS3 and KS4 pupils. The school are also looking for a teacher which would be able to plan and deliver GCSE class intervention. Intervention will include working 1-1 with pupils with an identified need and to complete revision classes with groups of GCSE pupils.

A suitable candidate should have a good knowledge of the Science curriculum to KS3 level and be confident teaching Physics to GCSE. A suitable candidate will be able to teach lessons which are engaging with a key focus on pupil progress and independent pupil learning.
