If you are looking for a day to day, full or part time position as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant in Hertfordshire from September then please get in touch!

Teaching Personnel are recruiting support staff to work in mainstream primary schools in September. I work with a range of Ofsted graded ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ schools in St Albans, Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City. If you would like to work for Teaching Personnel, you will ideally already have some experience of supporting students within a classroom setting. This could be working with whole classes, small groups or providing 1:1 support.

We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have experience of working with ASC, SEMH, Down Syndrome or other learning disabilities. In order to apply for work with us, you will need to have:

• A DBS on the update service, or be willing to complete a new one asap

• Good references from two previous employers, preferably from establishments where you have been working with children

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent of GCSE grade C or above)

• Transport for travelling to/from Hertfordshire schools

• Any other qualifications or training relating to working with children is desirable

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
