Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a learning support assistant with experience in engaging disaffected children with low self-esteem who may suffer with some anxiety and/or anger management challenges. Your role will focus on providing the schools with an additional layer of supportive behaviour management. You will ideally have a background in working with young people or adults with challenging behaviour and have worked in educational or health and care settings.
You will be working either on a one-to-one basis or with small groups based on the pupils identified as needing support in this area. The length of the assignment will be dependent on the development of the child/children and will be judged on their improved confidence, engagement and positive outlook. Essentially this will be determined by the school.
Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as National Association of SEN, National Autistic Society, Rush Miskin, Team Teach, Educare, and Leeds Trinity University. These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Accredited Team Teach, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability, Effective Adult Learning Support, Implications for Challenging Behaviour, Meeting the Emotional, Social and Mental Health Needs of Children and Young People, Differentiation, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning, Planning for Progression, Prevent Duty, Read Write Inc. and Child Protection in Education.
