Do you have experience of having worked in secondary schools supporting the learning of pupils aged between 11-16? Are you looking for a new opportunity to build upon your existing skills set and work within a diverse environment?

If so, please see the opportunity at our client secondary school situated in Cardiff who are currently looking to appoint an experienced cover supervisor to work across KS3 and KS4. This is a full time post commencing February 2017; initially on a temporary basis for the remainder of the academic year. However, there is an opportunity for the successful applicant to gain a permanent role.

As a cover supervisor you will be expected to cover lessons for absent members of staff, delivering pre-set work. This position requires good behavior management skills, whereby you will need to be a confident individual who can gain the respect of pupils and lead lessons on your own, ensuring that pupils stay on task and remain focused. You will cover a range of classes in different subject areas including: PE, English, Maths, Science and Humanities.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
