Science teacher - September

• Full time Science teaching position

Large Secondary School in Glossop require a Science teacher for September 2017. This is a full time Science position teaching across the Science curriculum with a preference for Physics experience to KS4. You will need to have a proven track record of raising student attainment and achieving excellent results. This Science teaching post will initially be on a long term supply basis with the potential to earn a school based contract.

With just under 1800 students on roll this is an excellent opportintiy for a newly qualified Science teacher or experienced Science teacher coming to the end of a current post.

Students achieve above the national average academically with 59% of students achieving at least 5 A*-C grades in their GCSEs well above Progress 8 targets. The Science department is large with ten full time teachers and an experienced head of science. Student behaviour is good due to the schools policies and is well known for having a warm, welcoming environment. Located in the SK13 post code the school is split site with both under half a mile away form the train station.
