Job description

Are you a confident and adaptable educator looking for a rewarding opportunity to support young learners?

We are seeking a committed General Cover Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking school community in Poole, working with students aged 10 to 16.

This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working 8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Your Role

In this role, you will provide high-quality classroom cover across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity and structure for students.

You will maintain a positive learning environment, follow lesson plans, engage pupils in meaningful learning, and support their progress throughout the school day. Flexibility, confidence, and a calm approach are key to thriving in this fast-paced and rewarding setting.

 

What We’re Looking For

We require a minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with additional needs.

You must be able to communicate effectively, build positive relationships, and motivate learners of different ages and abilities.

A genuine passion for education, strong behaviour management, and a professional, nurturing approach are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
