General Cover Supervisor

  • Full time General Cover Supervisor for the summer term
  • Supporting students across a variety of subjects in KS3 and KS4
  • Attractive pay rates £55-£65 per day depending on experience

Are you a graduate wishing to pursue a career in secondary education? Do you have previous experience working with students aged 11-16?

Our client school are seeking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the summer term in the lead up to the exam period. The incoming graduate teaching assistant will be working alongside the teacher, to facilitate the learning of pupils with different abilities across KS3 and KS4. The school are looking for a graduate teaching assistant that is confident in building relationships with pupils, has behaviour management skills and can engage pupils in lessons to give them a positive learning experience. This is an excellent opportunity for any graduates that want to enhance their experience before starting their PGCE.

• Full time General Cover Supervisor for the summer term

• Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher

• Supporting pupils with different learning abilities across KS3 and KS4

• Giving feedback to the teacher on the students progress

• £55-£65 per day depending upon experience

This is a newly renovated school with brand new state of the art facilities, which creates a stimulating environment for all pupils. In May 2016 Ofsted rated the school as being ‘good’ with outstanding personal development and wellbeing; therefor the incoming graduate teaching assistant will be passionate about with-holding the high standards set by the school. The school is located in Oldham close to the M62 and is easily accessible via public transport with a range of buses stopping a short walk away.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
