Teaching Personnel are the preferred supplier of cover to a number of schools across the Richmond upon Thames and Twickenham area. Due to a growth in our Secondary branch, we now have more opportunities for you to gain regular paid cover supervisor work in your local area.

Due to the nature of working as a cover supervisor, this is an excellent opportunity to gain an introduction to a number of teaching and training schools prior to your teacher training such as a PGCE. If you have previous experience supporting 11-18 year olds in a tutoring, teaching assistant or youth work capacity, then working as a cover supervisor would be ideal for you.

THE ROLE: You will be responsible for supervision of classes to cover absent teachers, providing continuity of student learning and promoting positive values, attitudes and good student behaviour to confident and ambitious students. Expected to start after the Easter break for a month, with an option to then join on a permanent basis.


Good standard of literacy and numeracy

Good working knowledge of ICT

Experience of having worked with students in the 11-16 age range

Experience of working in a school environment

A high level of organisational skills

A can do/proactive attitude
