Cover Supervisors provide full class support to Schools for absent Teachers, where the work is already created. You will need to have excellent behaviour management and an ability to engage students to remain on task with their learning. Teaching Personnel have client schools throughout County Durham and are currently looking for Cover Supervisors in the area.
If you have recent experience of working in an educational or youth setting we welcome your application. If you have recently graduated from university or currently considering a career in teaching Cover supervising is the perfect opportunity to gain first hand experience.
Highlights of the Cover supervisor role;
• Pay up to £70 per day
• Working in Secondary schools as a Cover Supervisor, Behaviour Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant
• Excellent introduction to education and teaching
• Access to teaching personnel’s training academy which we run in partnership with a number of national organisations
Expectations for cover supervisors;
• Professional attitude and an understanding of the importance of education
• Engaging personality to motivate and build relations with students
• Flexible and adaptable to the nature of the post and school
