Maths Graduate

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for recent Maths Graduates to join one of our client schools in Manchester as a Maths Intervention Teaching Assistant.

As a Maths Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will be working with pupils who are struggling the most in their GCSE preparation. You will work in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to ensure that the pupils are gaining a better understanding of the lessons that are being taught.

The position will be full-time, and it is due to start in September at the start of the academic year.

The weekly salary for this position will be between £385 and £450 per week.

The school that you will be working in is located to the East of Manchester. It is easy to commute to from Gorton, Central Manchester, Rusholme and Fallowfield. The school that you will be working in has previously had issues with poor behaviour. You should be confident that you will be able to manage any difficult behaviour which may present itself.

To best support the pupils:

• You should work closely with pupils to ensure that they are given a better understanding of the content being taught.
• You should support the teachers with behaviour management, ensuring that there is always a safe and productive learning environment.
• You should assist the teacher and pupils on any external trips.

In order to be successful for this position you must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, as well as provide at least two employment-based references. You should also be willing to complete a 30-to-40-minute safeguarding course.
