Job description

Future teachers required to work in secondary schools throughout Greater Manchester. The Future teachers programme enables graduates to get school based experience before commencing a teacher training programme. We are currently supporting schools in Salford, Central Manchester and Chorlton with Future teacher graduates to support their students in the new academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to pursue teaching as a career. You will be working as a learning support assistant in your specialism whether that be English, Maths, Science, Humanities or languages. The Future Teachers programme will be starting in September and running continuously throughout the academic year.

As a Future Teacher you will be working alongside fully qualified teachers as a support assistant in classrooms of up to 30 students as well as providing small group and 1:1 intervention for specific students. Highlights of the future teachers programme;

  • Secondary school based placement prior to starting a teacher training in September 2020
  • Working alongside experienced teachers supporting students to achieve their progress targets
  • Weekly pay around £300 per week through our PAYE scheme
  • Regular CPD and training courses available at your disposal

Essential criteria for the future teachers programme;

  • University degree in English, Maths, Science, Languages or Humanities
  • Passion for working with young people and a clear desire to go into the teaching profession
  • References from your career or educational history
  • Fully enhanced DBS certificate passed
