Future Teachers Programme – Become a Teacher - London
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for keen graduates to join our vast candidate base and begin their journey to become one of the teachers of tomorrow.

What is the Future Teacher’s Programme?
Teaching Personnel have a programme aimed at addressing the teacher shortage in the UK. We are looking for keen graduates to begin a career in education. Over your first year you will be gaining experience as a Teaching Assistant (GBP60-GBP70/day) and Cover Supervisor (GBP65-GBP70/day) for 6 working hours a day (+1 hour lunch break). This is for you to gain exposure to how the ins and outs of a school work as well as to give you the skills and experience of working with challenging students, developing relationships with students, shadowing experienced teachers and managing a class of 30.
What happens after this?
After completion of the programme you will apply for your PGCE or School Direct Training. After gaining the skills in your first year the second year is where you put all this into practise and gain experience planning and marking students work.
After completion of your second year you will be able to do your NQT year at which point you will be earning a Teacher wage of around GBP28,355/year whilst also completing all the duties of a teacher.
After completion of your induction year your pay will be increased with the potential to earn up to GBP40,035 in the years that follow. After this the only way is up as you work your way up the teacher pay scales taking on more responsibility in senior leadership roles.
Requirements;
- A Degree in any Specialism (ideally the subject you are looking to become a teacher in).
- Experience in Education or Care.
- A confident and proactive attitude.
